The government is engaged in digitalizing every public office and its work. Due to this, now applying for a travel document has also become very easy. You can apply online.

For this, you have to go to the website 
https://www.passportindia.gov.in/.

After going to this website, first of all, you have to register yourself here, and with this, the process of online application starts.

-After the registration, you will have to give general information like your name, address, mobile number, correct date of birth, and e-mail ID mentioned in the documents that you are presenting. Apart from all these, you will also need to provide information about which will be your nearest passport office.

• After filling in the general information, proceed to the option of travel document Seva and click on the option of Continue. Then proceed to the option of Apply for Fresh Passport/Reissue of travel document
  and click.

After this, proceed to the option of Click Here To Fill and click and go to the next page and fill in the information being asked of you there correctly and carefully.

• Then you have to proceed with the submit option by clicking and then submit an application. By going to the given option, you have to make an appointment at your nearest passport office.

-After this, you will have to deposit the prescribed fee for the application through online mode only.

-Downloads of the PDF of the whole application containing the application fee or take a print
After this, on the day when you have an appointment at the nearest passport office, reach the office with the certificate, your identity card, and all other documents to verify the date of birth and complete the further process there only.

• Then, the police verification will be done to authenticate the information provided by you.

-After all these steps, the travel document will reach your hand via post at your given address.
