Prime Minister Modi reached Italy! Will participate in the ‘Outreach’ session of G-7
Before leaving for Italy to attend the outreach session of the G-7 Summit 2024, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that the summit will focus on artificial intelligence, energy, Africa, and the Mediterranean region.
Prime Minister Modi said that important issues for the Global South will also be discussed in the last session. This is Narendra Modi’s first foreign visit after becoming Prime Minister on June 9. Prime Minister Modi said that I am also very excited to meet other leaders participating in the summit. Prime Minister Modi said that I am happy that his first visit in the third consecutive term is to Italy for the G-7 summit. Prime Minister Modi will likewise hold a reciprocal gathering with Italian PM Georgia Meloni.
Prime Minister Modi said the two visits of Italian Prime Minister Meloni to India last year have played an important role in giving momentum and depth to our bilateral agenda. We are focused on reinforcing the India-Italy key association and expanding collaboration in the Indo-Pacific and Mediterranean locales.

India’s Foreign Ministry spokesperson, Randhir Jaiswal, said that this is a great opportunity to engage with G-7 partners, other invited countries, and international organisations in multilateral and bilateral formats.

World leaders will be present in Italy; Biden may meet PM Modi
Many global leaders, including UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak, French President Emmanuel Macron, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, US President Joe Biden, and Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida, arrived to participate in the G-7 summit held in Italy to represent their countries. All of them were welcomed by Prime Minister Meloni.
According to the US White House, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and US President Joe Biden are likely to meet in Italy. US National Security Advisor Jack Sullivan said that President Biden congratulated Prime Minister Modi over the phone on becoming Prime Minister for the third consecutive time.
Ukraine got a lot of support
The annual summit of the G-7 advanced economies began on Thursday with a consensus on the US proposal to support Ukraine with a $50 billion loan.
British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak said that we must make decisive efforts in support of Ukraine. Decisive and constructive efforts must be made to support Ukraine and motivate Russian President Vladimir Putin to end the war. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said on Thursday that the G-7 summit that began today will be dedicated to Ukraine, its defense, and its economic resilience, and we will wait for important decisions.
What is the G-7, and why is India important for it?
The G-7, or Group of 7, is an informal organization of the world’s most developed economies. It was established to discuss and act on the world’s economic and monetary issues. It consists of the seven most powerful and rich countries, which make up this organization. What is the G-7? Which countries are included in it, and what is its purpose?
These 7 countries, including Britain, France, America, Italy, Germany, Japan, and Canada, are members of the G-7 organization. The combined economy of these seven countries is about 45 trillion dollars. The share of these 7 countries in the world’s GDP is 43%. African and Gulf countries are also invited to the G-7 summit. Argentina, Brazil, Algeria, Egypt, Kenya, Saudi Arabia, Tunisia, Turkey, South Africa and UAE have been invited to the G-7 summit.
Like every year, this year also a big country like India has been invited to the G-7 summit. The reason for inviting India is also that India is considered a very important country. There are many reasons for this, such as India’s growing potential in the world, being the fifth largest economy, being the most populous country in the world, etc.
The agenda of this year’s G-7 summit is the Ukraine-Russia war and the terrible conflict going on between Israel and Hamas. The G7 summit 2024 is being held at the luxurious Borgo Eganzia resort in the Apulia region of Italy.
