Azerbaijan plane crash: Many theories have come up regarding the plane crash in Azerbaijan. 42 people lost their lives in this accident. It has been said in some reports that Russia made this attack and has a link to GPS jamming. The plane, flying from Azerbaijan to Russia, was in an emergency landing when it entered the airspace of Kazakhstan in between and crashed soon after touching down on land.
The location was close to the Caspian Sea. Speculations are saying this crash happened because of a drone attack. This airport had already been closed earlier today because of drone attacks,” according to the report. Russian media speculate that Russia’s air defence system mistakenly took this plane to be a drone and attacked it.
Is Russia responsible for the plane crash?
A video of the plane crash is also currently going viral on social media. According to some reports, holes are visible in the rear part of the plane seen in this video, which could be marks of bullets or explosive pellets. According to experts, such holes are caused by bullets or explosives. Flightradar24 has also claimed that the GPS of the plane was jammed, which raises questions about Russia, as Russia has been accused of failing GPS transmission in the past as well.
The national security officer of Ukraine posted on x and said that the Embraer 190 plane of Azerbaijani Airlines flying from Baku to Grozny was shot down by the Russian air defence system, and now Russia will make various efforts to hide it.
Many questions under suspicion
Azerbaijan President Ilham Aliyev has cancelled his visit to Russia following this accident. The decision has also been seen in various lights, but the President claimed through a statement that bad weather made the plane alter its route and it resulted in major tragedy. The investigation process of this case has started at Azerbaijan’s Office of Prosecutor General because there have emerged so many questions that came under the circle of suspicion.
How the plane crashed occurred
This incident occurred at 6:28 am on Wednesday, as flight Embraer E190AR departed from Baku Airport. The destination for this flight was Gronji Airport in Chechnya, Russia. After some time, it was said that the plane had struck a bird, and after that, the plane lost its control.
Then the flight began to divert due to the bad weather conditions. Flight tracking websites have provided data regarding the journey of the flight, wherein it is evident that the plane path was getting degraded. The flight had 67 people, with 42 deceased and 25 survivors. Included in the victims were 37 Azerbaijanis, 6 Russians, 6 Kazakhs, and 3 Kyrgyz citizens. In addition to these, 5 crew members also lost their lives in the aeroplane.
