For a long time, there has been a situation of diplomatic tension between India and Canada. In this situation, the Indian Consulate General has decided due to security concerns. In a statement about this, the Indian Consulate General in Toronto said that the security threats have increased here for a long time. Security agencies have been continuously unable to deal with this threat. For this reason, it has been decided to cancel the consular camp being run here. Most of the consular camps being run here were not present at any place of worship.
The troubles of over 4 thousand senior citizens have increased
Over 4 thousand senior citizens were residing in these consular camps in Canada earlier. These are the migrants’ elderly people. Both Indian and Canadian citizens are included in it. In such a situation, both countries’ migrant elderly people will not be able to live in the consular camp anymore. Because of this, troubles for them may also arise.
Why has this been done?
Earlier this month, local officials in Toronto also said they could not provide security as needed. They had said that they could not guarantee security to the camp and the elderly. The officials’ inability to guarantee security came to light after difficulties increased due to violence in the consular embassy camp being run in the Hindu Sabha Mandir. This Hindu Sabha Mandir is in Toronto itself.
