Police investigation reveals that Dominic used to grind sleeping pills and mix them in food or alcohol and make his wife, 72-year-old Gisele Pelicot, drink them.
He used to call strangers through online chatting
After the effect of the drug, when she would become completely unconscious, he would invite strangers to his house through online chatting. Whoever agreed to come to his house, Dominic would put only one condition in front of them. Neither they should come after smoking a cigarette nor after applying any kind of perfume. Dominic was afraid that his wife’s sleep might get disturbed by his smell.
Dominic used to give another instruction to the guests who came to his house: if his wife moved on the bed or there was any movement in her hands, then they should leave her and come out of the room. So that she does not get to know. The police were shocked when they came to know that this continued for not one or two but many years.
When the wife suspected, she filed a report
However, Dominic’s wife lodged a complaint with the police on 2 November 2020 based on suspicion and expressed her suspicion that when she wakes up from sleep, she feels very strange; her body feels broken. But the police did not have any clue or evidence of any kind. Apart from this, the police could not even imagine in their dreams that a husband could do such a thing. Therefore, the police could not arrest Dominic.
Dominic caught in the supermarket
Although the police suspected Dominic’s words and his actions, he could not do anything. Therefore, the police put detectives behind Dominic. Meanwhile, the police got information that Dominic was taking pictures of girls who were roaming around wearing short skirts in the supermarket area. Then the police caught Dominic. When Dominic came under the police’s custody, the police found a raped USB drive in his search.

While investigating that drive, the police were shocked to see more than 20 thousand nude pictures and videos in a file. Upon deeper investigation, it was found that there are hundreds of pictures and videos in which his wife is seen with different men in each picture. And that too in an obscene condition on the bed of the house. Then the police investigated them more deeply. It was revealed that Dominic got his wife raped by different men more than 100 times.
Bought 450 sleeping pills in a year
Later, during police interrogation, Dominic also confessed to his act. He also said that after giving the medicine, when his wife would fall asleep, he used to do this act. Police came to know from the records of the Health Department that he had bought 450 sleeping pills in a year. Police say that in the investigation so far, it has come to light that 72 sleeping pills were bought with him. Raped 92 times, out of which 51 have been identified.
Age of rapists: 26 to 73 years
Police arrested all the accused one by one after watching the video. At that time, most of them were between 26 and 73 years of age. Police said that the woman did not know anything about this. When she was told about it, she was shocked. According to the woman’s lawyer, Stephen Babonneau, one morning she woke up in panic, then she felt that she had gotten a new haircut, but she did not understand how all this happened.
Later, when she learned the whole story and saw her husband’s acts in court in the video, she first divorced Dominic. The woman says that it seems that Dominic probably has some disease. His past is also not very good or clean. He is also accused of raping and murdering a 23-year-old estate agent in Paris in 1991.
