30 killed, 60 injured in Maha Kumbh stampede, police confessed after 17 hours

30 people have died in the stampede that took place between 1-2 am in Maha Kumbh. 60 people have been injured. On the accident, DIG Kumbh said that there was a huge crowd pressure in Maha Kumbh. Due to this, the barricades broke and the crowd started crushing people.
30 people have lost their lives in a stampede on the Sangam coast in Maha Kumbh. 60 people have suffered injuries and are being treated at a hospital that has been built in Sector 2 of the Kumbh area. State CM Yogi Adityanath has announced financial assistance of Rs 25 lakh each to the families of those who have lost their lives in this accident. Along with this, he also ordered a judicial inquiry into the accident. DIG Kumbh told me about the accident: there was tremendous crowd pressure during Maha Kumbh at Prayagraj today, and due to this, the barricades broke; after that, the crowd started crushing the people.

DIG Mela Vaibhav Krishna said there was a stampede in Maha Kumbh between 1-2 am. Out of 30 dead, 25 have been identified. Four of them were from Karnataka, and one devotee was from Gujarat. The other 5 are being identified. The DIG also said that there was no VIP protocol there. A helpline number (1920) has been issued for information about the people injured in the accident.
Appeal of CM and saints to devotees

Earlier, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and saints appealed to the devotees to maintain discipline. The CM and saints said that devotees should take a bath at their nearest ghat. The Chief Minister said that devotees can take a bath at whichever ghat of Maa Ganga they are close to. Don’t try going towards Sangam Nose. So many hats have been made where baths can be easily taken.
With the Chief Minister, Yogi Adityanath, saints are also appealing. Swami Rambhadracharya asked the devotees to take a bath at the nearest ghat, wherever they were. Do not go out of the camp. Take care of your own as well as all others’ safety. All Akhadas and devotees requested to avoid Rumours.
