According to DGP Punjab Police, an encounter was conducted against Pakistan’s ISI operatives in Punjab, with UP Police and Punjab Police working together. Due to their joint effort, three operatives of the Khalistan Zindabad Force were killed at Thana Puranpur, Pilibhit. Two AK rifles and two Glock pistols have been recovered from the encounter site.
Where are the three operators from?
According to Punjab Police, all three operatives—Vinder Singh (alias Ravi), Gurwinder Singh, and Jashanpreet Singh (alias Pratap Singh)—are residents of Thana Kalanaur and are accused of attacking Bakshiwala Police Station, Kalanaur.
According to reports in the media, all of their families are doing the labour work. Punjab police claim that these operatives were controlled by Ranjeet Singh Neeta, the head of Khalistan Zindabad Force.
Who operates the Khalistan Zindabad Force?
Khalistan Zindabad Force is run by Jaswinder Singh Mannu, who is said to reside in Greece, the DGP has revealed. Punjab Police says Jaswinder Singh Mannu is a resident of Agwan. Besides Ranjeet Singh Neeta and Jaswinder Singh Mannu, the name Jagjit Singh is also surfacing among those operating the Khalistan Zindabad Force.
Jagjit Singh resides in the UK and serves in the British Army, claims the Punjab Police. He is said to run this organization in the name of Fateh Singh Baggi. The Punjab Police have thanked the Uttar Pradesh Police for their help in this encounter.
