Amid the current situation, public anger spread in Israel after the recent killing of six hostages, which led to widespread protests against the Netanyahu government. Given this political instability, analysts believe that Netanyahu may focus on other fronts.

According to Al Jazeera’s report, while talking to the media on Monday, Netanyahu said, “We will take a heavy price from Hamas, but I am not going to tell what this price will be and how it will be. It will include an element of surprise.” Apart from this, he demanded a permanent Israeli presence in the Philadelphia Corridor near the Egyptian border so that the Gaza ceasefire talks could be disrupted. But Netanyahu did not indicate what step he would take next.

After Israel’s attack on Gaza on October 8, Islamic resistance intensified attacks on Israel. The situation worsened after Israel killed Islamic resistance commander Fuad Shukr in Beirut on July 31. Shukr was accused by Israel of plotting an attack in the Syrian Golan Heights in which 12 children were killed.

Islamic resistance vowed to avenge the killing of Fuad Shukr and launched massive rocket attacks against Israel on August 25. Hezbollah claimed that it fired more than 340 rockets and targeted the Glilot military base near Tel Aviv. However, Netanyahu rejected this claim and said that there was no attack on Glilot.

According to experts, Hezbollah has once again signaled to Israel through its attacks that its military capability is still intact. However, it is not yet clear whether Israel will carry forward this conflict or not. But Netanyahu’s recent warnings indicate a front against Islamic resistance.

Some analysts believe that this conflict may stop for the time being, but any permanent peace agreement is still far away.
