Posting the news on Instagram, his son Mahadevan confirmed it was due to ill health. His son gave the news through an Instagram story, which read, “We are very sad to inform you that our father Shri Delhi Ganesh passed away on November 9 at around 11 pm.”

Delhi Ganesh, who worked with all the stars of Tamil cinema for nearly three decades, died on Saturday night at 80. Posting the news on Instagram, his son Mahadevan confirmed that it was due to ill health. His son gave the news through an Instagram story, which read, “We are very sad to inform you that our father Shri Delhi Ganesh passed away on November 9 at around 11 pm.”

Also served in the Indian Air Force.

Tamil actor Delhi Ganesh, who started his career with veteran director K Balachander in Pattina Pravesham (1976), hails from Delhi, where he was also a member of Dakshina Bharat Nataka Sabha, a theatre troupe. The actor served in the Indian Air Force for a decade, i.e., from 1964 to 1974. The actor acted in over 400 films during his career. He was last seen in Kamal Haasan’s Indian 2.
